There are many things that guys can work on to find more cute girls, but one of the most important of these is their self-confidence. Girls love self-assured guys. Once you’ve got that inner belief, you can do anything… talk to random people, get a cool job, and getting the girls will be the easy part.

Do you remember the Neverending Story?
There is a scene from the movie, The Neverending Story, that perfectly illustrates the importance of self-belief. The main character, Atreyu, has to pass through the sphinx’s gate to get to the southern oracle. The scene begins with a knight in shining armor, about to walk through the gate.
He is halfway there and it looks like he’s going to be able to continue to walk through, but suddenly the sphinx’s eyes open, and they shoot a bolt of lightning at the guy and knock him to the ground. The key phrase that comes from that is “Only a man who knows his own worth will be able to pass through the sphinx’s gates.” Fancy armor won’t help you. The sphinx can see straight into your heart.
This is the key principle to approaching women successfully. You can work on adding tricks and gimmicks to your game. You can look for pick up lines to use on girls. You can try using false time constraints, take-aways, and back turns. However, if you don’t fully believe in yourself and you don’t fully know your own self-worth then none of this will matter. Because girls can see straight into your heart.
Real self-worth comes from within
A lot of guys focus on winding themselves up to overcome their nervousness about approaching women. They will listen to loud music, run around, or do a whole bunch of crazy activities. Sometimes they try to get more courage by drinking copious amounts of alcohol. It helps them become bullet proof and do incredible things which they would have been too scared to attempt half an hour earlier.
But none of this does anything to build a guy’s self-worth. It’s just a temporary band-aid. When the alcohol and the adrenaline wears off, they’re still the same scared boys.
You can’t find self-belief in a bottle. You need to jump into the deep end and find it within yourself. This reminds me of an experience that I went through: the Apocalypse Opener!
What the heck is the Apocalypse Opener?

The Apocalypse Opener was a very simple, but incredibly challenging way to approach a girl. You can do it by walking up to a cute girl, asking her how her evening was going, finding out what she is doing later, and then invite her back to your place.
Here’s how you do the Apocalypse Opener:
- Approach an attractive girl and say, “Hey, how’s it going?” in a confident, calm voice.
- She will say, “fine” or “good.”
- Then ask her, “What are you doing later?”
- She will say, “Ummm… I’m not sure” or something else that she is doing.
- Then you ask her, “Do you want to come home with me?”
- And the important part is now, you just hold her gaze and wait. Be patient and calm and wait.
When I did this at first, it was incredibly intimidating for me. I would feel this overwhelming tension build in my body and all I wanted to do was turn and run. But I forced myself to be completely still internally and externally. That had a huge impact on my self-belief and girls started to search for me. It was as if they could look through me and peer into my heart to see if I would run away.
When I didn’t run away there was this pause while they looked deeper and deeper. And then, suddenly, they would just melt! But the only way I could pull this off was by being completely still, both internally and externally, even when I was experiencing extreme pressure.
The Apocalypse Opener helped me build the self-worth that I needed. When you start believing in yourself, you will find that girls will come searching for you instead of the other way around.
