You often hear women are attracted to a guy’s personality but having a good sense of humor is something that really builds her desire for a man. If you’re a little shy or self-conscious, it pays to work on your sense of humor and make yourself more attractive to women.

So, how do I start being funny?
To do so, start by being a little self-deprecating: take a good look at yourself, and really analyze your personality. Be aware of who you are, so you can be comfortable making fun of yourself (sometimes). Be the guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously. If you can laugh at yourself, it shows you’re not stuck up and actually conveys confidence. If you’re not so worried about looking like a fool once in a while, she’ll think you don’t often mess up; you usually get things right.
Hang around funny people
Spending time with other humorous people or watching comedians can help teach you how to be funny. It’ll help you gauge and understand how to deliver funny lines. Really watch for the subtleties of delivering a line to help with injecting comedy into your own conversations. If you memorize a few lines or anecdotes from a few comedians, that will help too. You’ll have go-to lines so you won’t have to think so much about what to say next, which will aid your confidence and composure. You should also prepare a few stories from your life to keep in the back of your mind, so you’re not just quoting other people the whole time.
Don’t just be a performing monkey though
Although you should use your sense of humor to attract women, you don’t want to be the “funny guy”. You don’t want to position yourself as some sort of entertainment monkey for a woman or seem like you’re trying to be funny to win her over — that will display signs of desperation. You want to be funny, but you also have to be flirtatious and come across as a confident, attractive dude. You don’t have to try all that hard. Just introduce an element of humor here and there. Don’t try to be the funniest guy. In fact, if you’re a rather serious guy normally and you do say something humorous, it’ll seem even more funny than if someone who typically jokes around would’ve said it.
Do some research
A great trick you can use if you don’t necessarily think you have a good sense of humor is to recall something from a funny movie or comedian, etc., and add it to the conversation. Simply reference a part of the movie or comedian’s routine. Banter with her in this manner by reciting a scene or joke. If she laughs, she’ll associate you with your good sense of humor, even though you weren’t the originator of the funny story.
Don’t be afraid to tease
A final tool you can use is to tease a girl a little. Keep things fun and friendly — don’t let things get vicious — kind of like you’d tease a sister, cousin, or friend. If she reciprocates, it’ll show she’s becoming at ease with you and is attracted to you — she’s kind of testing you out as well as showing off her sense of humor. Just be sure not to tease too much to where she feels self-conscious or like you’re just trying to be friends. Add flirtation into the teasing so it’s clear that you’re into her.
