What are some things that we can take from the field of relationship experts to apply to the dating scene, related to meeting women and how to communicate with women when you’re trying to meet them in the dating scene?
First of all, about meeting women — there are many ways to do this. A couple of key things that you can do are to go to places that are surrounded by lots of women. Generally bars, clubs, and pubs are always good on the weekend.
There are plenty of women and they’re all in a fun, party mode, more receptive to conversation than usual. They are dressed up, psyched up, and looking for a good time. You want to be the guy who gives it to them.
However, sometimes those places can be a little bit loud and very hard to communicate in. It can be very difficult to get a toe hold on a girl in a place like that, but it has to be said, there are still plenty of women, and you can find a way to meet them there. Perhaps get them to join you outside for a breath of fresh air. Say you are feeling a little dizzy from the heat and pressing of the crowds – could she possibly take your arm, because you’re feeling a little faint.
The second thing is, you can meet women anywhere during the day, whether it is on the street or in a shopping mall. They’re everywhere and, during the day, it’s more of a romantic thing. If you go up and start chatting to a girl, it’s so much more appealing for her to say that she met you at a coffee shop than, say, on the middle of a dance floor at a night club. There’s a bit more of a romantic element there.
Another place you can meet women is online. There are plenty of websites. You can set up a profile and chat to women online, or through interest groups. It might be a fitness group, a book club, a hobby that you love doing, where you would be surrounded by women. Maybe it’s martial arts or a yoga class. These are just a couple of ways that you can meet women.
When you’re out there approaching women for the first time, a couple of key things that you can do that can help you is to, first of all, just be friendly. Go up and smile and introduce yourself, and be interested in them.
Women love to talk, so ask them questions. Be inquisitive and be a good listener. Give them strong eye contact and make it fun. Don’t be serious; be open to conversation. If you’re really engaged in a woman and feel like she’s engaged with you, then just ask for her number.
Be ballsy about it. Say, “Hey, it was great chatting with you. I’d love to learn a little bit more about you or I’d love to hang out some time. Can you please give me your number?” Or, “Give me your number, and we’ll catch up at another point.” There are a couple of tips that can help you go out and meet more women.
