Fun First Date Ideas

If this is your first date, you must be pretty anxious – am I right? Well, don’t worry about it, we’ve all been there. Just follow the advice below and you’ll make a great first impression!

Fun First Date Ideas

There's just something magical about taking a girl out on a date based around nature. So few guys do this, that she's going to remember your first date for years to come! (And in a good way.)

First of all, if you want to leave an impression on a girl, don’t go with conventional types of dates. That means forget about doing a dinner-movie night combination. It’s boring, all guys do it, and it’s frankly just pointless, because if you’re going to take a girl out on a date, you want to do it right.

That means making the date into an adventure, or something new and exciting for her.

Hiking!

And what better adventure than – an actual adventure!? Take her out on a hike. Hiking is a great activity to do with a woman on a first date simply because most guys do not do it. When you’re hiking, you can enjoy the fresh air, appreciate the beauty of nature, and most importantly – you’re alone with her.

You’re not surrounded by random strangers at a restaurant, nor are you busy watching a movie and unable to talk and get to know each other.

Picnics are great too

Most guys have never been on a picnic in their life! And especially not with a woman. So try taking a girl to a picnic. Just be sure that the food you’re bringing isn’t too strong or too heavy. Just nice and light, like crackers and cheese, grapes and fruits, and some wine.

Other things to bring along on a picnic are (and I mention this only because we’re all bound to forget an item or two on this list):

  1. Music. Some kind of a portable media player with some nice speakers can create a sexy vibe and fill any prolonged silences with good music that you can both appreciate. Music is also a great thing to bond over.
  2. Blankets!
  3. Sunscreen and bug repellant, especially if you’re going in the middle of the summer.
  4. A couple of disposable ponchos or a big umbrella in case the weather turns sour. You’ll also be proving that you’re a guy with forethought who can take care of her even in unexpected situations. Women always look for this quality in a guy.

Museums… really?

Yes, really. Most girls won’t be expecting it, and dates at a museum are going to create a far less pressured atmosphere.

For example, let’s say you’re having dinner. You have to ensure that you’re always continuously talking. When you take a girl to a place like a museum, it’s great because there’s a lot less pressure to the interaction, since you’re looking at other things and the attention is not fixated on each other.

The key point I want you to remember is that when going on a date, you just want to be as enthusiastic as possible. Show her that you’re having a good time, because enthusiasm is contagious! So if you’re genuinely interested in her and having a lot of fun, chances are, she will be too.

While I certainly want you to think outside the box as far as first date ideas go, you shouldn’t become too focused on the where, but instead focus on the how. The how being that you are having a good time, that you are talking about interesting topics, that you’re laughing, and that there’s as little pressure as possible.

If you’re still worried about conversation topics and what you should be talking about, I would suggest you check out our Conversation Cure, which basically outlines how to avoid awkward silences and running out of things to say, and how to deal with social anxiety and being nervous around girls.
