One of the important things, when you have an Asian girlfriend is to have awareness of the impact her cultural background has on her.
From my experience dating in Japan and other Asian countries, Asian girls can be a little bit shy to begin with, and because of that the guy needs to take a little bit of leadership in the conversation.

One of the things that is really attractive to all women is when guys can take leadership.
When we generally look at a basic conversation balance, a 50-50 split is usually a good thing. If you can even put a little bit of pressure on a girl to have to contribute conversationally, that can also be a good thing. What you’re essentially doing, when you ask her to invest in the conversation by speaking to you, is you get her able to commit to you. The more that she invests in an interaction, whether it be verbal commitment or whether it be through other means, then there is a backwards rationalization process that goes on in her head that says if I’m investing in this guy I must like him.
Talk a little more.
So with that being said, sometimes with Asian girlfriends, you can’t get to that 50-50 split immediately and the guy has to take a little bit of ownership of the conversation. Maybe take up 80 per cent of the conversation? But, what you’ll find with Asian girls is, once they’ve warmed to you and once they feel safe and secure with you they’ll really go out of their way to please you. Another thing that comes to mind when we’re talking about how to attract Asian women because of their cultural background, is they can be a little bit shy with physical touch.
Touch her.
So when we normally talk to guys about making some overt touch, which is essentially touching a girl to let her know of your intent. This can be a really powerful technique with Asian girls, but you need to be able to get a lot more incidental touches in. These are more light, playful touches that go under the radar. So some examples of that is if you’re really good at gesturing with your hands while you talk, you can use that to get her used to your physical contact.
Respect her space.
If you’re good at just getting light touches on the back of her arm or the upper part of her back that she’s not going to draw some resistance to, that can be a good way to get her comfortable with your touch. The final thing that I think is important in having an Asian girlfriend is being aware of their personal space. Because of their shy nature, they tend to like having a little bit of personal space. Now what you can do is…you can essentially move from being outside that personal space to move to being inside their personal space and back out, and every time you move in it’s a bit more like a direct statement.
It builds a little bit of tension for the girl and then when you release that tension she feels a little bit relaxed. Now why this is a powerful technique is, if you’re able to build tension with her, even if it is just social tension, that will more often translate into sexual tension down the track.
