For guys trying to make friends to go out with or just to have as a support system, what are some good tips on how to make friends?
There are some guys who might not be as comfortable talking to other guys or don’t have a lot of experience making friends. A guy who has lots friends to go out with will often have more success talking to women.
Making friends is an investment that will last a lifetime.
This is something that I’ve had a lot of exposure to because I was forced to move around a lot through my work and social interests. Usually within the space of two to three months I actually had expanded my social circle which allowed me to go out any night of the week.
It doesn’t take me long to connect to people that are important within a particular city. I want to make friends wherever I am, and there are always to make new friends due to my constant traveling. So I have three go-to tips that whenever I move to a new city, I make sure that I follow.
The first step is to take up new activities.
For me it was always sports. I found that when I moved to a new city, I would start playing sports and that would automatically give me connections with people who were like-minded, people who were usually quite social, and people who were often well-connected within the local community.
Football was my sport of choice. That would automatically connect me with 40 guys. Often in those environments, it’s a given that if you play together, you also socialize together. So that would be a great start for me in a new town to actually get out and meet new people.
The second step is to identify connectors.
Connectors are people like promoters. They’re people who organize events or manage night clubs. What you’ll find is that if you can get in with a connector’s inner circle, they will already have a social circle of anywhere from 500 to 1,000 people that they are in touch with every single night.
If you get close with three or four connectors, you’ll find that they will actually be able to hook you up with anyone and everyone that you need to be hooked up with. This is a great starting point in how to make friends wherever you are.
You’ll get invited to the best parties and events.You’ll get special attention such as free drinks and V.I.P. passes. Rather than going out and trying to make 4,000 friends, which is almost impossible, make friends with four really high-powered connectors. This will get you in their inner circle, offer them some sort of value, and utilize that to build your social circle.
The third step is to make friends with women.
If you’re approaching women and there are particular ones that maybe you’ve approached but you don’t want to move things in a sexual direction, don’t be afraid to add her to your social circle. Making friends with women is a great way to make new friends through their friends.
Maybe you start out as something other than friends, but then the two of you sort of fall into a friendship relationship. If you can get ten really attractive women in your social circle that are just friends, that will also mean that they will usually have 10 to 20 friends each.
That then puts you in contact with another 100 to 200 smoking hot nines and tens. What you find with really attractive women is that usually their friends are also attractive as well.
Following these three steps, guys should be able to set up a social circle within a very short period of time that will basically put them in a higher social run in that city. You’ll soon wonder why you even thought it was difficult figuring out ways on how to make friends.
