These methods can give them an opportunity to meet a lot of women in a way that is more comfortable for them so they can focus less on the cold approaching harder stuff.
Realistically, the cold approach is probably a lot more time-consuming than guys realize. If they were to focus instead on building a strong social network and an incredible lifestyle, and on meeting some cool chicks who know a lot of other chicks, they would be better off and probably end up on more dates.
