But I don’t know… I message a bunch of girls, and they don’t send replies back. Should I be worried about this? What are some key ideas to actually getting dates online?

There are definitely some positives and negatives to online dating. For one, you’ve got a lot of guys messaging the higher quality women; so standing out can be a bit more difficult. You’re being rated primarily based on your photos, and then there are other factors that may be contributing to your lack of success as well.
How to improve your online dating skills on the double:
First of all, it’s important to recognize that you’re probably just not messaging enough girls. That’s the reality. This is even with very attractive guys, only about 5% of the messages you send out will result in a girl responding. Keep in mind that this doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with you. Now, in terms of the practical side of things, make an effort over the next seven days to a month, to message at least 10 to 50 girls a day. If you look at it in terms of over a week, if you message 10 girls a day, that’s 70 girls a week. In a month, that’s 300 girls. You should get about 10 responses. Right now, you’re probably not even going on 10 dates. So the potential for 10 dates is a good result when you are messaging that many girls. Now, I know what you guys are thinking… that’s a lot of effort and that’s a lot of time to be putting in to meeting women, especially when I’m aiming to get only 10 girls responding.
But the reality is that online dating really shouldn’t take too much time at all.
Because of the accessibility of it, I find that the times when I’m online and doing online dating is simply like laying in bed using my iPhone, or just when I have some free time. In 15 minutes, you’d be surprised how many girls you can message.
Now, the final bit of advice, and this is for the more extreme guys who want to take it up a notch and really get some results. You might want to consider the Tim Ferris approach. What Tim Ferris did is he outsourced his whole dating life. He put a job posting on Elance, and he basically got a virtual assistant that he paid, and I’m sure it was quite cost-effective, to simply message over 1,000 girls a day on MySpace.
Now, you can imagine what this did. I believe Tim said that he had more dates than he could count and his dating life was completely outsourced. This could be a great way for you to get more success using online dating.
Think smarter about the approach that you have towards this, especially in regards to persistence and messaging enough women. You’ll definitely see your success rate increase a lot quicker than if you’re just messaging a few girls and expecting some magical results.
