Questions To Start A Conversation
Using questions to start a conversation is a great way to engage a women. While there are many great questions that you can use, here are seven types of question that work particularly well.
Seven Top Conversation Starter Questions
1. Ask questions that relate to something you find unique about the girl
I use this type of question to start a conversation when I notice something unique or different about a girl. For example, if she is wearing a custom retro T-shirt that features a 70s band, then I will use a downplayed pick-up line that I noticed the T-shirt and ask her to tell me more about it and the music she likes.
2. Ask questions related to her image, style, or identity
I look for anything that gives me hints about a girl's image, style, or identity - especially something that may have a bit of a story. For example, if she has a cool tattoo I'll use tattoo-orientated questions to start a conversation. I will ask why she got it, and what the tattoo image means.
For me, questions to start conversations are often a result of being extremely perceptive. So keep your eyes peeled for something special or different about a girl
3. Ask questions related to experience
I always look out for things that indicate that a woman has had a particular type of experience. For instance if she is wearing a necklace that looks like it comes from Fiji, I will ask her about it. Whether or not she got it from Fiji, it will definitely be the starting point for a conversation.
Perhaps she has a particular hairstyle that looks like something that is trendy in Europe. If so, I'll talk about this, and ask her where she had her hair cut this way and why.
4. Ask positive questions to start a conversation
I often ask girls what it is about them that results in something positive. This approach usually works a treat.
For example, if she seems very happy, I will ask her what it is that is making her appear so happy and joyful. Or perhaps she seems like she has high self esteem and loads of confidence. In this instance I will ask her where she gets her oozing charm and confidence from.
5. Ask light questions
Guys often use questions to start conversations that really are too deep.
I recommend that you use questions to start a conversation that are light, playful, or funny. For example, I may see a guy who is dressed really badly and as a result I might ask a girl I want to talk to, "Is that the latest fashion trend?”, knowing quite well that it isn't at all.
6. Ask follow-up questions
Now this is something you need to get used to. Girls often answer an initial question and then ignore you. It might be because they don't find the question interesting and couldn't be bothered to start chatting, or it might be because they are lacking in self-confidence.
To remedy this either way, it is important that you follow up quickly with another question, or initiate another conversation. By the same token, avoid the temptation to become a detective. Don't use questions to start conversations and then continue with too many questions thereafter.
If you do, she may feel as if she is being interrogated. She might also think that you are a bit strange. You see, when many guys meet girls, they often ask far too many questions. They become (what I call) a question machine. My advice is to avoid becoming this type of guy.
Instead you want to transition into a perfectly normal conversation, make statements, and do something other than asking questions over and over agin.
7. Ask a challenging question
This type of question is more advanced.
These questions challenge girls. For example, I see a girl ordering a drink at the bar, and I look to see what she is drinking. If the drink looks like a heavy drink, and it is after work, then I might ask her, "What did you do today to warrant such a heavy drink?”
In this case, I am being very perceptive by noticing things about her. At the same time, I am challenging her by being different to every other guy who would probably ask her a completely different question.
I never ask generic questions or boring questions that every other guy will ask. I will always look to add a unique and different twist to everything I say.
Go for it, give it a try.
