It is not healthy to assume that our happiness depends on being in a relationship, or is dependent on anyone or anything. A guy must focus first on being happy and then happiness will be just a natural part of his life. True happiness comes from within.

Assuming that happiness comes from other people or situations is counter-intuitive.
We hate to hear this but we are constantly looking at all of the possible paths that we can take in our lives to be happy. We often get stuck in the mindset that if we follow this path or that path, this will lead to happiness. We get half-way down that path and find it may provide a little bit of happiness to begin with but it soon ends up being an illusion. We get to the end of that path and realize that happiness has still eluded us.
We then try to backtrack and go down a different path. This formula repeats itself over the space of a guy’s entire lifetime. If you’re looking for happiness outside of yourself; if you are looking to walk a path that will lead you to find true happiness, you’ll never find it. You will spend your whole life searching in the wrong places.
A good first step is to dedicate time every day to studying happiness. You’ll soon realize that happiness has almost nothing to do with anything external.
You need to stop, be still, and recognize that the key to happiness comes from within.
This can come from enjoying activities that exist in your life, which make you more well-rounded and bring fulfillment. Bring people into your life that support you and you feel good being around. Learn to be successful in life, and happiness will naturally follow.
However, if you don’t actually take the time to build yourself from the inside out, then it doesn’t matter how many other people or activities come into your life, you are still going to be fragile on the outside. You are still going to be an empty shell of a man that has the potential to crack at any point in time.
Most guys know that one person shouldn’t determine your happiness, but are there signs where a girlfriend will complete your happiness?
Many guys think this way. It makes sense that this would be the case, but in my experience that is never the way it ends up. There is never a situation where a guy is almost there but he just needs that perfect girlfriend who will complete his happiness.
What happens is there will always be a part of him that is going to be leaning on her and needing her in his life. While that might be attractive to the girl to begin with it will usually be the thing that drives her nuts and his life. She will sense that need within him. And neediness in a guy is not attractive to girls.
He will soon find himself acting out of character because he will be so lost if he doesn’t have that girl in his life. While guys might get a sense that having that girl in their life is going to bring them true happiness, it is usually fraught with danger.
If he can find other ways to complete that happiness,what he will find is that he will naturally attract and gravitate towards women who will enhance that happiness. That is the difference that will make all the difference in his life.
Getting to a point where he recognizes that he is going to be happy in life whether he has a woman in it or not is where he wants to be. That should be his one and only focus. The moral of this story is that true happiness can’t be found in people, places, or things. True happiness is found in one’s soul, it must come from within.
