First of all, don’t think that you have to be in a rush to find out what the other person likes all at once. One of the experiences that I know guys have is when they’re at a bar, and they meet a girl with who they get involved in a deep conversation — and they feel such a strong connection that they start to really share everything that they can, and build this really intense connection on that first night.
When you go home you feel almost like your jaw will fall off. You can’t believe how amazingly connected you are to this particular girl. And I’m not saying that this is a bad thing. But, from my experience, when you start out knowing everything about someone, where do you go from there?
Be intriguing.
I quite like the idea of easing my way into that. Because what that does is it builds a little bit of intrigue. So if I meet a girl and I share with her some of the things that I’m passionate about, I will also leave out some information for our next meeting (and maybe leave some cliffhangers that I have opened up but left unanswered). Then the next time that we get an opportunity to spend time together, she’s going to be particularly curious, and she’s going to want to continue to spend more time with me.
Take it slow.
This idea of being able to reveal each other bit by bit is quite sexy. It builds momentum. But if you build momentum too quickly, it’s almost like lighting a candle without the wax. It’s just going to burn out really, really quickly. So what you want to be able to do is to let that candle burn a little bit slower. Let it be a slow burn. The advantage of slow burning candles is that they have a longer life span.
Learn her passions.
That’s a really important consideration to keep in mind for when you’re thinking about what sort of answers to provide to questions. The last tip that I’ll leave guys with is this: to me, the ultimate type of question, the one type of question that I almost surely implement in every single interaction I have: is to find out what the girl is passionate about.
Then point out her passions.
Find out what she’s passionate about, and you get a bit of a sense of what is unique about her. Once you get an idea of what is unique about a girl, you can compliment her on it. That tip alone is one of the most powerful tips that a guy can utilize. So, if he can find out what is unique about a girl and then compliment her on that, he’s going to find a place in her heart and in her energy that will make it that much easier for him to organize a date, and for her be receptive to that date.
