Avoid Giving Gifts to Make Your Girlfriend Feel Special
You might want to give your girlfriend a nice surprise when she returns from her vacation.
It’s fair to assume that most guys would like to go with their girlfriend when she takes off on vacation. But if you’ve been dating a girl for a while, the point will come where she goes on vacation with her family, or visits friends and family who live elsewhere.
The question is, when your girlfriend returns you can shower her with gifts and spoil her, or just continue the relationship as if she hasn’t been away, but make her feel special.
I personally don’t believe that men should go out of their way to make a big deal of things when their girlfriends come back after a vacation. I think when relationships become focused on the special gifts that you’re going to give to your girlfriend, then you may tend to lose sight of what the relationship should ultimately be about.
So don’t go over the top with gift-giving.
How to Make Your Girlfriend Feel Special
Just the fact that your girlfriend has been away for an extended period of time, and now she’s finally back means that you guys get to see each other and spend time with one another. That to me should be what you need to focus on primarily.
Of course girls respond very positively to gestures; and so I think a small gesture such as greeting her with some flowers or with a gift that has some sort of significance is a good idea. Ultimately it doesn’t even have to be an expensive gift or bunch of flowers.
In many cases it’s even more powerful if gifts for your girlfriend are not so expensive but rather thoughtful. There is no doubt that girls respond very well to those sorts of gestures.
Think About Gestures that will Make Your Girlfriend Feel Special
Instead of having a bunch of flowers in your hand when your girlfriend gets back, why not organize to have flowers sent to her on her first day back at work. Somehow that’s a more interesting approach.
When I give men relationship tips, I point out that when a woman has been away it is in her work environment that she is likely to be more stressed. By sending her flowers, you will lift her emotions and make her feel good. This is a really positive and supportive role that you can play.
But in her free time, once your girlfriend gets back, it should be about the time that you guys spend together, and what you do together.
So whether this means hiring a hotel room where you can chill out for a weekend, and spend a whole lot of time together, or renting some DVDs and sit on the couch together, fully absorbed in one another, do it.
Whatever you and your girlfriend choose to do together, it’s more important than coming up with some gift to make her feel special. At the end of the day, your girlfriend should be feeling special because of the affection that you’re giving her. There are many ways that you can show her that you love her and appreciate her.
