A Great Nickname Will Give You a Boost
Your Nickname is more important than you might ever imagine. So if you don’t already have a nickname, now’s the time to think of a really good one.
The thing is that it’s important to be aware of some of the cues that a girl might like about you, especially when you meet flirting women.
Often girls will come up with different nicknames and use these to play with you – possibly even to tease you. But if you are able to identify the fact that this “teasing” is an indicator of interest in you, it will help you gain a little bit more confidence right from the start.
At the same time, I think it’s also a good opportunity for guys to utilize the same cues for girls, that they use for them.
How to Make Your Nickname Work for You
I’ll give you an example of how this nickname game works in my own life. You’ll find that it’s one of the best flirting tips ever.
If I approach a girl on the street, whom I’ve never met before, I go in with a really direct comment and say something like, “Hey, I noticed you as you walked past. I really love your energy.” Or I might say, “Hello, there’s something super-cute about you that made me want to say hi and possibly get to know you.”
Then, I progress with the interaction and more often than not, we’ll soon start to tread back and forth, bouncing comments off each other. After a couple of minutes, I will recognize whether or not there’s an opportunity to get the girl’s number.
Now, one of the skills and tactics that I’ve developed is when I do ask for her number, is that I ask the girl to describe me in one word. It’s really interesting to hear some of the responses that come back. Sometimes it’s fun. Sometimes it’s confident, or possibly charming. When I get lucky I find that she has come up with another positive nickname I can use.
It doesn’t matter too much what she comes up with. The process of getting her to think about describing you in one word that can become your nickname, has the effect of getting her to invest in you. It forces her to explore the impact that you had on her in the short period of time she’s been with you.
Then I get her to save my nickname on her cellphone.
What I do is to ask her to save my number in her cellphone with the word she used to describe me. If she came up with the nickname, “Funny Matt”, that’s the name I ask her to use. Then, I do the same thing for her. For instance I’ll say to her, “I think it would be great if your nickname was Cool Kate. I’m going to save this nickname into my phone so that I know it’s you calling when I see your nickname on my caller I.D.”
What to do if You can’t Think of a Nickname
One of the things I often do is if I get stuck coming up with a nickname for the girl I have just met is to add the adjective “intriguing” to their name. If you look through my phone, you’ll see Intriguing Jess, Intriguing Kate, Intriguing Melissa…
I think that’s a really great way to shape girls in my mind, because it means that there’s something a little bit mysterious about them. It also makes me work towards getting some resolution on what her most intriguing features might be.
Now, if there’s another part of a girl’s personality that really jumps out, or maybe something specific that you’re trying to shape a girl to, you can use that adjective to describe the girl.

That will also help her to remember the experience that you had together.
